Need to access a database or e-journal at 2:00 a.m. from your living room? Out on rotation to a far away place and you need an article ASAP? No problem, it’s easy. All you have to do is go through the Library’s proxy server, ARCHER. Due to contractual agreements, licenses, and copyright restriction, access to many electronic resources must be limited to Loyola University Health System, Stritch School of Medicine, and those enrolled in University health-related graduate programs who have a current Medical Center I.D. In order to comply with these restrictions, you are automatically routed through the proxy server and, if off campus, are asked for a user name and password. You must register for ARCHER. Just fill out the online registration form and your ARCHER login and password will be e-mailed to you within 24 hours. ARCHER will not provide access to confidential LUHS clinical or administrative information. See a Research & Access Services librarian for more information or e-mail Donald Nagolski at dnagols@lumc.edu.
