Several ebook titles have been updated to new editions.Updated ebooks on Statref include : Current diagnosis & treatment critical care, 3rd ed., 2008; Current medical diagnosis & treatment, 49th ed., 2009; Current diagnosis and treatment, pediatrics, 19th ed., 2009; Degowin’s diagnostic examination, 9th ed., 2009.

Updated ebooks on MDConsult include : Harriet Lane handbook, 18th ed., 2009; Kelley’s textbook of rheumatology, 8th ed., 2008.

New ebooks on Pubmed include: the Epilepsies: seizures, syndromes and management, 2005; NCBI style guide, 2004; NCBI news, 2008; Baculovirus molecular biology, 2008; Animal models of cognitive impairment, 2006; Intolerable burden of malaria, a new look at the numbers, 2001.

The Health Sciences Library’s 2008 Annual Report is now available at:

A few highlights include:
-Collections increased by nearly 2,000 volumes.
-Nearly 12,000 journal titles are accessible via the library’s webpage.
-Library conducted over 100 information management classes.
-Health-E Illinois now contains over 10,000 records to healthcare services
-Elearning system has over 11,000 active users.
-Nearly 111,000 Medline searches were completed
