Find a Journal page Enhancements

October 6, 2009 · Leave a Comment

Over the next few months, you’ll see a series of much-anticipated enhancements to the navigation and display of Loyola’s Health Sciences Library’s Find a Journal page. These enhancements will be implemented in a phased process. The first set of enhancements are scheduled for deployment on Wednesday, October 7th at 10:00 am Central Time (15:00 GMT).

  • Linking to a journal from any tab in the Find a Journal pages will open the journal in a new window so you can easily navigate back to Find a Journal.
  • True keyword searching will be available in the Find a Journal tab-enter one or more search terms in any order into the search box and you’ll generate a list of all journals with titles that include any of your terms.
  • Additional improvements to how journals are sorted and displayed in the Browse by Title tab

Please note that if you are in the Find a Journal pages during the time of deployment, you may experience brief service interruptions.

If you have any questions or comments about these changes, please feel free to contact Heather Cannon, Serials & E-Resources Librarian at hcannon@lumc.edu or x6-5302.
